Meemo: Complete User Guide

Home Screen

Upon first launch, Meemo welcomes you with a brief tutorial. If you've already used Meemo on another Apple device, the app will automatically sync via iCloud, skipping the configuration.

The Home screen is divided into three main areas:

  • Header: At the top, you'll find the settings icon (⚙️) and the archive (📦).
  • Today: This section shows notes expiring today or those pinned to "Today's Highlights."
  • Your Spaces: The list of your categories (Work, Home, etc.).
  • Search: Use the search bar to quickly find your notes.

Quick Gestures

Swipe Left (⬅):To Share, Move, or Delete.
Long Press: Quickly archive the note.

Space Management

The heart of Meemo's organization.

For each Space you can define:

  • Name: Title identifying your space (positioned at the top of each list).
  • Description and Tags: Enter a brief description or keywords (tags) to inform the AI about what types of notes belong to this Space. This will make automatic suggestions much more accurate.
  • Visual Identity: Choose an icon and a custom color to instantly recognize the space on the Home screen.
  • Text Color: You can set the text to White, Black, or Automatic, which adjusts based on the background.

Spaces and Artificial Intelligence

  • To Categorize: Uncategorized notes are placed in "Inboxes." Meemo includes this section that collects these notes and allows you to perform mass categorization assisted by AI, which analyzes the text and suggests the most suitable Space.
  • Report: See how many notes are already allocated and how many need review.
  • Quick Confirmation: You can confirm only already-allocated notes without manually assigning them all.

Quick tip: If you manually move a note suggested by the AI, or if you correct its classification in the final report, Meemo learns from your choices. The more you use it, the more precise it becomes.

Note Creation and Smart Title

Create a note: Tap the plus icon (+) in the main bar.

Smart Title

With a double tap on the title field, if the note is empty, it will be assigned the title: "Quick Note." If you've already written text in the note, the AI will analyze it to generate an intelligent title based on the content.

Editor Functionality

You can add images and links simply by pasting them. Meemo will take care of setting them up inside your note.

Checklist Guide

Organize your lists.

  • Add: Tap the checklist icon at the top right to add one.
  • Section Titles: Long-press the icon. A menu will appear to add section titles to the checklists.
  • Organize: Use the arrow next to section titles to collapse or expand the list.
  • Sort: Drag the icon (☰) on the left to reorganize checklists.
  • Complete: Tap the circle on the left to strike through items.
  • Import: If you paste a list from another app, Meemo automatically detects it and offers to convert it into a checklist.

Notifications and Planning

Push Notifications

Set a date and time to receive the notification, or use location to be alerted when you arrive at a specific place.

Calendar

  • Calendar View: Shows all notes organized by expiration date when set.
  • iOS Synchronization: Enable sync in settings to integrate Meemo with the system Calendar.

Privacy and Security

  • App Lock: Require Face ID or Touch ID every time Meemo is opened.
  • Note Protection: Protect notes containing sensitive data.

Backup and Cloud

  • iCloud: Automatic Apple sync. Automatic data detection upon device change.
  • Manual Backup: Export files with .meemo extension for extra security or data transfer.
